Mum & Baby Pilates
Rebuild your strength, restore your confidence and feel good in your body after pregnancy – with your baby by your side.
Mondays | 10:30–11:20am
Location: Chislehurst/Bromley, BR1 2SX
Small, friendly and personalised classes
Having a baby is an incredible experience, but pregnancy, birth and the demands of motherhood can take a real toll on your body.
My Mum & Baby Pilates classes are designed to help you reconnect with your body, rebuild strength and return to exercise safely and confidently – all in a relaxed, supportive environment where your baby is welcome.
Suitable for mums with babies up to approximately 12 months old, these small-group sessions focus on strengthening your core and pelvic floor, improving posture, restoring whole-body strength and easing the aches and tension that often come with caring for a baby.
You’ll also learn how to exercise safely following pregnancy, including appropriate modifications if you’re experiencing abdominal separation (diastasis recti) or symptoms of pelvic organ prolapse.
And because every postnatal journey is different, exercises are adapted to your individual needs, ability and stage of recovery.
What makes these classes special?
Small classes, individual attention and a baby-led approach.
With nearly two decades of teaching experience, I understand how important it is to exercise intelligently, particularly during postnatal recovery.
My classes are deliberately kept small so I can offer individual guidance, help you develop good technique and ensure you’re working at a level that’s right for your body.
And of course, babies don’t follow a timetable!
You’re always welcome to stop to feed, cuddle, settle or change your baby whenever needed. There is absolutely no pressure to keep up, and crying, feeding and interruptions are all part of the experience.
Where appropriate, I’ll also incorporate gentle baby movements and playful interaction to help make the sessions enjoyable for both of you.

What to bring
Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Pilates is best practised barefoot.
We use Pilates mats, blocks, straps and small Pilates balls. Some spare equipment is available to borrow, although having your own is helpful if you’d like to practise at home.
For your baby, please bring a soft blanket and anything they may need during the session, including feeds, nappies and comfort items.
When can I start?
If you’ve recently had your baby, it’s important to allow your body time to recover before returning to structured exercise.
As a general guide, many women begin postnatal exercise following their 6–8 week postnatal check, although recovery varies depending on your birth experience, symptoms and individual circumstances.
If you’ve had a Caesarean birth, experienced complications or have any concerns about your pelvic floor or abdominal recovery, please seek appropriate medical or pelvic health physiotherapy advice before joining.
Exercises can be adapted for different stages of postnatal recovery.
