If you are looking for something sweet, chocolatey, satisfying and delicious that supports your health rather than subtracts from it, then look no further!! These bliss balls are pack with protein, fibre, antioxidants and minerals. They are a real "treat" for your body, giving it the goodness it deserves.
Ingredients
- 1 cup organic oats (I have started buying organic oats after I read that oats contain a lot of pesticides and chemicals if they are not organic).
- 4 organic medjool dates (You can adjust to your preference of sweetness, but 4 is a good place to start)
- 1-2 tbsp flaxseeds (I add these for their health benefits and they are really good for ibs too).
- 1 tbsp ground flaxseeds (optional) (Totally optional. I add them for their health benefits. Ground flaxseed can make the balls a bit dry later as they swell and absorb the moisture, so you may need to add a little more liquid).
- 1 scoop around 30g of organic vanilla whey protein powder (I use The Organic Protein Co and am really happy with it. It is only sweetened with a little coconut sugar and vanilla).
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp peanut butter
- 1-2 tbsp nut milk or water (add a tiny bit at a time until reached desired consistency)
- 1/4 cup or one large handful of roasted hazelnuts
- 2 tbsp organic cacao powder (you can use less if you don't like a rich chocolatey flavour0
- pinch sea salt (optional)
