This is a special prenatal & postnatal class whereby I hand pick the best of all my pre & post natal training and experience to offer you the best class I can. The exercises are extremely beneficial and effective. They will help you to stay strong and fit during your pregnancy and to help you recover from your pregnancy, safely and effectively.  You will strengthen, lengthen and tone your entire body.  We will pay specific attention to the areas most needed and affected by pregnancy.

This class is designed to leave you feeling empowered, energised and uplifted. Not only will the release of endorphins make you feel better, but it will also have a positive effect on your unborn baby too! For postnatal mums, it will give you some precious time to care for yourself.

DYNAMIC PILATES

This class is a dynamic and flowing class to energise you for the weekend.  At the heart of the practice is strengthening your core muscles and working your entire body from the foundation of a strong core. This class ticks all the boxes. We will get our heart rates up, strengthen your whole body, work your core, improve your posture, and stretch! You will leave this class feeling like you have challenged yourself, strengthened and stretched in all the right places and it is my aim that you leave the class feeling great!

MUM & BABY PILATES

These small and friendly mum & baby Pilates classes are aimed for mums with babies up to 1 year of age , ideally before the babies are freely crawling. The class is designed to help you regain your strength and fitness post pregnancy, safely and effectively, by building strength from the inside out. It is really important to exercise in the right way after having a baby so as to prevent diastasis or diastasic worsening. Leaning how to restrengthen your core and pelvic floor muscles using the Pilates technique is invaluable.

The classes are kept to small groups of so that you get the most out of the sessions. You will learn how to safely and effectively exercise your core and abdominal muscles and what to do if you have diastasis or a prolapse. When done correctly, Pilates exercises can help your body effectively recover from the strains and stresses of pregnancy.

This class will enable you to bring your baby whilst you ease yourself back into exercise safely, and surround yourself with a support network of women in the same situation as you.

What to expect from a course

DYNAMIC STRENGTH YOGA & PILATES

This special lunch-time series of classes focus on strengthening and future-proofing your body, in a dynamic and functional way. Each class will be strength-based, yet each different, to keep your body and mind challenged. They will be:

3rd November – Pilates Sculpt with Bands Workout

An energising, dynamic Pilates class using the long resistance band and the loop bands to strengthen, lengthen and tone your entire body.
Special Equipment: A long 2 meter resistance band and short loop bands or another long band tied into a loop.

10th November – Power Pilates with Weights I

This class will use hand weights and body weight exercises to strengthen and challenge your entire body.
Special Equipment: Hand weights, ideally a light weight and a heavier one (e.g 1.5kg and 3kg or 2 kg and 4kg).

17th November –  Power Pilates with Weights II

This class will build on the previous class, using hand weights and body weight exercises to strengthen and challenge your entire body.
Special Equipment: Hand weights, ideally a light weight and a heavier one (e.g 1.5kg and 3kg or 2 kg and 4kg).

24th November – Power Yoga 

In this strong and powerful yoga class you will see how we can use our own body weight to build strength, deepen our flexibility and future-proof our bodies.

1st December- Dynamic Power Yoga 

Building on the previous class we will flow more dynamically through the yoga poses we have been building strength in for an energising yet strong power yoga flow.

8th December –  Pilates Ring Sculpt

A dynamic class using the Pilates Ring to strengthen, sculpt, and lengthen — with extra focus on your core, abs, inner thighs and abs.

Reformer-style Pilates using bands, weights, sliders, and bodyweight for a full-body tone, strengthen, and lengthen — no machine needed.

BEGINNERS PILATES & YOGA FUSION

This class is accessible for all and is perfect if you are new to yoga, returning after a hiatus, or are looking for a gentle but progressive class. We work on poses that strengthen the body and also promote mobility and flexibility.
