PRE & POSTNATAL PILATES

Saturdays | 10:00–10:50am
Home Studio, BR1 2SX
In person & live on Zoom

Pregnancy and the postnatal period bring so many changes to your body, and knowing how to exercise safely and effectively can make a real difference to how you feel, move and recover.

Drawing on my specialist pre and postnatal training and many years of teaching experience, I carefully select and adapt exercises to help you stay strong, fit and mobile throughout pregnancy, and support your recovery after birth.

Each class combines Pilates, strength, mobility and stretching, with particular attention to the areas most affected by pregnancy and childbirth.

These classes will help you to:

  • Build and maintain whole-body strength, fitness and muscle tone
  • Strengthen and reconnect with your core and pelvic floor
  • Improve posture, mobility and flexibility
  • Ease common areas of tension, stiffness and discomfort
  • Support your changing body throughout pregnancy and your recovery after birth
  • Feel more confident, capable and connected to your body

Whether you’re preparing for the arrival of your baby or rebuilding strength after childbirth, exercises are adapted to suit your individual needs and stage of pregnancy or postnatal recovery.

And just as importantly, this class is time for YOU.

An opportunity to move, breathe, release tension and take care of yourself.

My aim is for you to leave every class feeling stronger, more energised, empowered and uplifted.

MUM & BABY PILATES

Thursday 10.30am – 11.20am

Mum & Baby Pilates

Rebuild your strength, restore your confidence and feel good in your body after pregnancy – with your baby by your side.

Mondays | 10:30–11:20am
Location: Chislehurst/Bromley, BR1 2SX
Small, friendly and personalised classes

Having a baby is an incredible experience, but pregnancy, birth and the demands of motherhood can take a real toll on your body.

My Mum & Baby Pilates classes are designed to help you reconnect with your body, rebuild strength and return to exercise safely and confidently – all in a relaxed, supportive environment where your baby is welcome.

Suitable for mums with babies up to approximately 12 months old, these small-group sessions focus on strengthening your core and pelvic floor, improving posture, restoring whole-body strength and easing the aches and tension that often come with caring for a baby.

You’ll also learn how to exercise safely following pregnancy, including appropriate modifications if you’re experiencing abdominal separation (diastasis recti) or symptoms of pelvic organ prolapse.

And because every postnatal journey is different, exercises are adapted to your individual needs, ability and stage of recovery.

What makes these classes special?

Small classes, individual attention and a baby-led approach.

With nearly two decades of teaching experience, I understand how important it is to exercise intelligently, particularly during postnatal recovery.

My classes are deliberately kept small so I can offer individual guidance, help you develop good technique and ensure you’re working at a level that’s right for your body.

And of course, babies don’t follow a timetable!

You’re always welcome to stop to feed, cuddle, settle or change your baby whenever needed. There is absolutely no pressure to keep up, and crying, feeding and interruptions are all part of the experience.

Where appropriate, I’ll also incorporate gentle baby movements and playful interaction to help make the sessions enjoyable for both of you.

The benefits of Mum & Baby Pilates

  • Rebuild core and pelvic floor strength – progressively restore strength, coordination and control following pregnancy and birth.
  • Improve posture and alignment – counteract the physical demands of feeding, carrying and lifting your baby.
  • Restore whole-body strength – strengthen your back, hips, glutes, legs and upper body for everyday life.
  • Ease tension and stiffness – release tight muscles, particularly around the neck, shoulders, back and hips.
  • Return to exercise with confidence – learn how to move safely, adapt exercises and progress at your own pace.
  • Support your recovery – understand how to exercise appropriately with abdominal separation or pelvic floor concerns.
  • Make time for yourself – enjoy movement, improve your wellbeing and reconnect with your body.
  • Meet other local mums – share experiences, make friends and enjoy a supportive community.

Course details

November 2026 – Four-week course

Dates: 9, 16, 23 & 30 November
Time: Mondays, 10:30–11:20am
Location: BR1 2SX
Course investment: £60

Places are limited to keep the classes small and personalised.

Advance booking and payment are required to secure your place.

What to bring

Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Pilates is best practised barefoot.

We use Pilates mats, blocks, straps and small Pilates balls. Some spare equipment is available to borrow, although having your own is helpful if you’d like to practise at home.

For your baby, please bring a soft blanket and anything they may need during the session, including feeds, nappies and comfort items.

When can I start?

If you’ve recently had your baby, it’s important to allow your body time to recover before returning to structured exercise.

As a general guide, many women begin postnatal exercise following their 6–8 week postnatal check, although recovery varies depending on your birth experience, symptoms and individual circumstances.

If you’ve had a Caesarean birth, experienced complications or have any concerns about your pelvic floor or abdominal recovery, please seek appropriate medical or pelvic health physiotherapy advice before joining.

Exercises can be adapted for different stages of postnatal recovery.

Ready to join us?

Come along, enjoy some time for yourself and start rebuilding your strength and confidence in a friendly, supportive environment.

I’d love to welcome you and your baby!
